Omega Globemaster Annual Calendar And The Master-Stop Watch

Omega adds a selection of prestigious new models to the Globemaster Annual Calendar collection with a new size, a new movement and a new design. Each of the watches continues the revolution Master watch manufacturer and impose high quality standards in terms of precision and performance.

The Globemaster collection watches are among the most complex watches that offers Omega and at the same time their design is undeniably retro, which is not a contradiction.

Omega 12 facets of the “Pie Pan” dial was inspired in the design of the movement of the Globemaster. the current month is displayed by a central needle, 12 months enrolled in italics between the index on the dial. The needle jumps to the months following the escape of a moment and the date must be corrected once a year – at the end of February.
The dial and case have been expanded in order to place the new calendar function; the case now has a diameter of 41 mm and is waterproof up to a pressure of 10 bar. Each dial brushed Sun and is available in blue, Opal silver or in two different shades of gray.Indexes and hands are either turn or gold Sedna.
The wristwatch also displays hours, minutes and seconds, all three by the Central hands. The hour hand and the minute are covered with Super-LumiNova to ensure readability. The small window of the date is 6 hours and the dial is covered by a sapphire glass resistant to scratches.

The Globemaster annual Calendar new boxes are stainless steel, gold Sedna or in a combination of the two materials.
The new caliber 8922 Omega co-axial chronometer is inside the case and offers among other things a power reserve of 55 hours after complete reassembly. Omega has placed the watch Master for the first time in the Globemaster; such movements have a METAS certification and thus meet strict criteria. Standards for METAS are among the highest – for example, it is easier to obtain a COSC certification.

Omega offers, in addition to the “common” models, two limited editions of the Globemaster Annual Calendar – dark red and dark green with the matching bracelet and a case in Platinum. These two watches will be on sale from next March at ChronologicalWatches.com.
