This trip is a wonderful combination of adventure and relaxation. Both New Zealand and Thailand are very child-friendly countries to travel in and you get the best of two very different worlds on this trip.
You start with a couple of nights in Auckland and then you set off in your own motorhome. You decide the route and pace during the trip and can stop exactly when and where you want. You also do not have to unpack and unpack your things every day.
After just under a month filled with adventures in fantastic New Zealand, you head to Thailand where there is sun and swimming on the program. You spend a few days in Bangkok first before heading to Koh Kood where you have a full 5 nights .. The island is still a small unspoilt gem with chalk-white sandy beaches and a clear blue sea to swim in.
You end with another night in Bangkok before you travel back to Scandinavia. All in all, this is a family trip with a focus on experiences and relaxation at a comfortable pace.
Day 1-2: Departure from Scandinavia by plane

Day 3-4: Arrival in Auckland and time on your own
After a long flight, it is always good to be able to get to your hotel room quickly and easily. Therefore, we have arranged the first two nights in a centrally located hotel in Auckland, so that your arrival will be as comfortable as possible. Auckland is a nice and easy city to find your way around – you can take a walk by the cozy marina or a ferry ride around the harbor.
Day 5-24: By motorhome around New Zealand
After two days in New Zealand’s largest city, you pick up your motorhome and set course for Christchurch. You have free kilometers so you can plan the trip exactly as you want, but we are of course happy to help with advice on what to experience in New Zealand. Below you can see some of our absolute favorite experiences for the whole family: Visit the Auckland Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) – a hit with both children and adults with a child soul left Take a walk in Auckland’s botanical garden or in the marina Get a shovel and dig your own hot water pool on Hot Water Beach, Coromandel Peninsula Take an underground boat ride in the fascinating Glowworm Caves, Waitomo Follow in the footsteps of the hobbits in Hobbiton,
Day 25: Delivery of campers
Today you return your camper at Christchurch Airport and have a night in a hotel in the city before heading to Thailand. One of the best ways to experience Bangkok is by taking a tour of the small canals (klonger) with a longtail boat. We have arranged a trip for you who take you to the “back” of Bangkok, where you see the local life up close and visit places in the city that you would not otherwise find. A klong tour is a good way to experience Bangkok’s many contrasts. The rest of the day is at your disposal. ( F )
