Hawaii Island, Hawaii
Hawaii Island is particularly impressive to see that Hawaii was created by the boundless power of volcanic activity and that it still has an enormous impact on the archipelago. Black beaches, lava-flooded streets, lava tubes and the largest volcanoes on earth await you!
Big Island is not only the largest island in the Hawaiian archipelago by far, but also the largest in the United States. Breathtaking natural beauties, sites of historical importance, the world famous Hawaiian culture and picturesque villages inspire every visitor and offer a variety of opportunities to explore the “Adventure Island of Hawaii”. Hawaii’s Big Island is home to the world’s tallest mountain, Mauna Kea, and the world’s most massive and voluminous volcano, Maune Loa. In addition, in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park you can get very close to one of the world’s most active volcanoes, the Kilauea, and marvel at the fascinating region around the volcano. Discover hidden beaches, dreamlike valleys, hidden waterfalls and mighty lava rock formations on your adventurous journey. Almost all climate zones and almost every important ecosystem on earth are represented on the Big Island: tropical rainforest, mountain lakes, colorful coral reefs, beautiful sandy beaches and lava flows overgrown with fine ferns. Get involved in an unforgettable adventure on this diverse island.
Maui, Hawaii
On the one hand, Maui delights with magnificent beaches that are regularly voted among the best in the world. On the other hand, the island also offers so many adventures and other natural beauties that it would be a shame to only spend the holiday on the beach – even if it seems so tempting.
Maui is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands and is nicknamed the “Island of the Valleys”. On your first visit, you will understand why Maui is nicknamed.
Maui has been voted number one of the best islands by readers of the renowned Conde Nast Traveler for 19 years now. Soar high above the clouds on the Haleakala, watch humpback whales as long as 14 meters pass by, or see countless beautiful waterfalls as you take on the hairpin bends of the Hana Highway. Recharge your batteries when you explore the picturesque slopes in the fertile interior or the beaches that have repeatedly been voted the best in the world. The magic of Maui is difficult to describe. You have to experience it yourself!
Experience Maui and be enchanted by “The Magic Isle”.
Oahu, Hawaii
Oahu is pure contrast: while Honolulu, a slightly different metropolis awaits you on the south side of the island, the famous North Shore is the surfer’s paradise. On Oahu you can experience the traditional cultural influences of Hawaii’s indigenous people combined with the modernity of a large American city and explore a wonderful island.
Oahu is the third largest island in the archipelago and impresses with contrasts between modern luxury and timeless beauty.
To the south is the densely built-up capital and metropolis of Honolulu, where the life of an American city pulsates. Honolulu with the world-famous Waikiki beach does not only offer luxurious comfort, shopping and nightlife for every taste, culture lovers will also get their money’s worth. Visit historic Pearl Harbor or Iolani Palace, home of Hawaii’s last two monarchs and the only official royal residence in the United States.
Two mountain ranges of volcanic origin in the west and east stretch across the island from north to south. Between the mountains is a large fertile plain with banana and sugar cane plantations and tropical rainforests in the higher regions. On the more tranquil northern side of the island you will find rocky coasts with romantic bays and lonely beaches.
Molokai, Hawaii
Molokai is considered the traditional and spiritual center of Hawaii. To this day, the island has retained its pristine and wild character, making it a place where the Hawaiian culture is truly still alive.
Visit the holy Halawa Valley in the east of the island, where you can admire temples and waterfalls, and marvel at the world’s highest sea cliffs that rise up to 1,100 meters on the north coast. Or drive to Kamakou Preserve, a primeval rainforest, and visit the ancient Hawaiian fish ponds in the south.
An unforgettable experience is a trip to Kalaupapa National Historic Park, which can only be reached on foot or by mule. You will be speechless if you ride a mule down the Pacific cliffs on the almost 5 km long path to the Kaluapapa peninsula along the high cliffs. Enjoy the seclusion and tranquility on the dreamy white beaches in the southeast and west and let your mind wander in the timeless mood of Molokai.
Explore the untamed and wild beauty of Hawaii’s most pristine island.
Kauai, Hawaii
Kauai is in the north of the island chain and is the oldest island in the Hawaiian archipelago. Water and wind erosion have worked on the volcanic peaks for centuries. This created a variety of landscape forms. Today Kauai’s north coast is an enchanting region with many rugged green mountains and lush pastureland. There are botanical gardens and beautiful beaches as well as the pretty town of Hanalei and the luxurious town of Princeville.
However, the magnificent highlight is the fan-shaped Na Pali Coast, whose breathtaking nature will fascinate you on a hike from Kee Beach. To the southwest are the huge gorges of the Waimea Canyon, which is also called the Pacific Grand Canyon. To the east, you can canoe out to explore the impressive landscape and impressive waterfall of the Wailua River, the only navigable river in Hawaii. Or you can start the day at Poipu Beach and make a detour to the nearby saltwater geyser Spouting Horn.
Go on a discovery tour – on the garden island of Kauai!
