Wisconsin on Lake Michigan and Lake Superior – is that pure nature, a dream for outdoor fans, the center of American cheese production, the birthplace of Harley Davidson, the home of Frank Lloyd and much more.

The predominantly agricultural Wisconsin is proud of its many food producers. The Dane County Farmers’ Market in Madison, the largest of its kind in the United States, offers the best seasonal selection of vegetables, flowers, meats, cheeses, and other goodies. Wisconsin is especially known for cheese. The largest cheese producer in the USA offers many types, so a stop at one of the many cheese factories is worthwhile. Wine and beer connoisseurs can also indulge in regional specialties at over 50 wineries and over 70 breweries. When you are in Madison, you will notice the huge Wisconsin Capitol. It is the second largest in the United States.

In the state, which is about 2.5 times the size of Bavaria, there are around 15,000 lakes and huge forest areas that invite you to take long nature walks. Particularly exciting is a trip along the Wisconsin Great River Road, which follows the Mississippi River, the western boundary of the state, for 250 miles.

Wisconsin is also home to top-class sport. The NFL team Packers, who won the Super Bowl four times, plays in Green Bay. In Milwaukee, the Bucks play in the NBA and the Brewers play in the MLB. Incidentally, Milwaukee is also home to Harley Davidson. A visit to the Harley Davidson Museum is also a must for those who don’t ride a motorcycle. You shouldn’t miss the Milwaukee Art Museum either. Another museum worth seeing is the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh. Over 250 aircraft are exhibited here, and sightseeing flights are even offered with the Ford 5-AT fan gun.
